Lord Ram has served as an inspiration for the creative endeavors of numerous artists. For enthusiasts of antiques and vintage treasures, Saanchi Antiques, nestled in the charming lanes of Langford Road, has meticulously curated a collection of collector’s pieces. Among the treasures are rare glass paintings portraying Lord Rama Pattabhishekam, alongside porcelain statues depicting Lord Ram, Sita, and Lakshman. Noteworthy is a gold kasu necklace adorned with an engraving of Lord Ram and Sita.

Parwathi Mirlay, the visionary founder of Saanchi Antiques, sheds light on the unique pieces, stating, “The porcelain piece, crafted in Germany during the late 19th century, draws inspiration from the faces portrayed in Raja Ravi Verma paintings. While India often embraces bold colors, the porcelain statues exhibit a delicate palette of pastel hues.” Mirlay adds, “What sets the gold kasu necklace apart is its distinctive engraving, as it deviates from the conventional portrayal of Goddess Lakshmi commonly found in Kasu necklaces. This necklace marks the first instance where Lord Ram is intricately engraved, making it truly exceptional.”
